Blood Orange Tangerine occupies the space between alternative indie folk, spoken word & world music, delivering a haunting, undulating yet delightful moderately instrumental soundscape. Diving head first back into the cool waters of spoken word performance, after the initial exploration on his debut full album, B.O.T sees Benjamin spin three tales of prose over a curated sonic landscape, alongside four instrumental narratives that surface from within the swell of the oscillating tide of the residual sonic backdrop. Twin these performances with six harrowing & uplifting gritty songs of real life experiences, songs continuing to deal with loss, mental instability, political unrest, numbness & delight. Benjamin's lips are almost laced with disdain, yet poised for war. Once again beautiful melodies & auditory composition accompany dark lyrics that cut down to the bone in search for the silver lining. Recorded entirely in a Converted Barn at Toloja Orchards (Wales), with Emilio M. Rizzi of EMR Music Production. Benjamin would finally track the orchestra of sounds that encompassed his mind & that lay scribbled, like scratches on a cave wall, on the papers that once were strewn across his work space.
